In any case, consistently use fruit purée (handcrafted or locally acquired) as a base. Apples have gelatin – a normally thick starch that gives natural product cowhide the best surface; it’s thick and malleable.
Stew longer. The more you stew the organic product, the shorter you’ll need to dry out it.
Utilize a dehydrator OR a broiler. In the stove, the calfskin will take between 2-4 hours. In the dehydrator, it will take 6-8 hours.
Store it right. Wrap the completed natural product cowhide in saran wrap or material paper. Store at room temp for multi-week; or store in the cooler for a long time.
